3 Wishes
For the third time now, I'm traveling all round the world.
The first time was in 1998: a fictitious trip during 90 days, from 22nd December 1998 to 21st March 1999, a literary project which I called Winter 13, an attempt to give a picture of the state of the world based on random news-clips covering events at the various destination where I happened to pass through (cf.
Winter13).
My second world trip lasted nine years, and it was indeed a very real journey. Starting in Dakar/Senegal on 20th March 2014, I traveled non-stop through all self-defined nine world regions, through Sub-Saharan Africa, the Perso-Arabic Region, Indian Region, Far Eastern Asia, Chinese Region, Eastern Europe, North America, South America, Western Europe. The trip ended in Jerusalem (where I witnessed the arrival of the Messiah, the Promised Saviour), with a flight back to Dakar/Senegal on 20th March 2023 where it had all begun.

And so now, I'm on my third trip round the world, geographically in reverse order as compared to my second trip, during nine months instead of 9 years or 90 days, half fictitious/half very real as I do intend to cover all of the self-defined nine world regions but in an abbreviated, sort of lazy way.
;-)
This third trip started on 19th April 2023 in Rome/Italy, and it will (hopefully) end somewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa, on 18th January 2024.
So what's the purpose of this third trip?
Well, I call it the "Nine-Pregnant-Months" trip. The nine months are meant to mirror the period of time I spent as a fetus in my mother's womb - alive, but not yet born.
As a fetus, you have only one wish: to be born and start your life.
As an old man - well, in my case, I have three wishes: to make this world a better place, to die peacefully - and, perhaps, to be remembered in a benevolent way.
How to make this world a better place?
Remember: what we want is Peace. And Peace is a project, not just a dream. So, what we need, are concrete suggestions as to how we want to establish Peace. In my introduction to this website I explained the various aspects that need to be taken into consideration to establish World Peace. Firstly, justice, both for humans and for nature. Secondly, the removal of stumbling blocks, and the creative invention of peace- building blocks. And all of this based on the phantastical ideals of moral, hope and respect.
So, what I'm trying to do, is to make very concrete suggestions, by way of making wishes along my journey, as to how I think Peace can be established, step by step, if there is the political will to do so. And I think one wish at a time is not enough: To be on the safe side, it's better to make three wishes at once, one after the other, like in a fairy tale.
;-)
To make wishes won't be enough. The wishes need to be fulfilled. It's up to you, each and every one of you, to make our dream come true.
