14th September 2023, Beijing/China - Wishes 67 / 68 / 69
In the name of Peace and Justice.
I have three wishes today, which I present to you in the name of Peace and Justice - in the hope they may be fulfilled.
We're all one family. Whether we are black or white or any other color - from
East or West,
from North or South - we're all one family striving for the same
thing: to achieve a state of Peace and Justice in this our
world, to create our Paradise on Earth.
In Paradise we are all equal. There are no different passports
dividing us into different countries, nations, regions. We're
all human, all belong to the same human race.
My wish is that we do away with national passports. My wish is
that we introduce one single kind of universally valid
passport: a passport for World Citizens, to be
issued by a UN agency to all persons who wish to be recognized
as such, as a true World Citizen.
Which brings me to my second wish for today: Having traveled
non-stop all round the world for the past nine years, I've
encountered so many embarrassing and even disgusting,
humiliating situations crossing borders from one country to the
next, that I wish that all restrictions to free travel
be abolished. No more visas, anywhere in the world!
And with this I'm coming to my third wish for today.
You know, when traveling around the world, of course you like to
visit some points of interest from time to time, maybe you like
to visit a museum, or a historic monument, or a natural
attraction. Unfortunately, in many cases you're confronted with
the unpleasant situation that, as a foreigner, you have to pay
more for such visits than locals do. Or, worse still, you're
altogether forbidden to visit the place because you're a
foreigner!
You might say, ok, if I have to pay five percent or ten percent
or even twenty percent more... it's not nice, but let's go for
it anyway since I'm here. But what about cases where you have to
pay DOUBLE the price because you're a foreigner? Or TEN TIMES
the amount?? In India, I came across situations (e.g. in Agra
where I intended to pay tribute to the much lauded Taj Mahal
mausoleum), where they asked foreigners to pay TWENTYFIVE TIMES
the amount locals paid! Now that's beyond obscene! Of course I
declined to visit. In China, just as another example, multiple
times I was rejected entry to hotels for an overnight stay
because I was a foreigner! What a disgusting sense of
hospitality, or rather what a lack thereof!
My wish therefor is that visitors be treated
respectfully, everywhere in the world, and no matter
where they come from, in the same way as local people are.
Such are my three wishes for today, which I present to you in the name of Peace and Justice, in the hope they may
be fulfilled.
In the name of Peace and Justice, thank you!
